At Cadware, we believe that talent thrives in environments built on dignity, freedom, and equality. We are committed to creating an ecosystem that supports skill development, professional growth, and sustainable development. We value ethical practices and respect human rights. Modern slavery and human trafficking stand in direct opposition to our values, and we are steadfast in ensuring that these practices have no place within our operations, partnerships, or the communities we support.

Our Commitment

While Cadware operates through the dedication of unpaid volunteers, we recognize our role in advocating for fairness and transparency across all aspects of our program. We are committed to upholding ethical principles in everything we do, ensuring that our mission to accelerate talent development remains grounded in respect for human dignity and freedom.

Our Ethical Principles

To reflect our values and prevent any form of exploitation, we adhere to the following principles:

  • Zero Tolerance for Exploitation: Whether in our partnerships, supply chains, or volunteer recruitment, we maintain strict policies to safeguard against modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Respect for Volunteers: Our program thrives on the contributions of passionate volunteers. We ensure that every individual contributing to Cadware does so willingly, with full understanding and consent.
  • Transparent Practices: We prioritize openness in our policies, ensuring fairness and equality at every level of our program.

Delivering Professional Skill Development Ethically

We operate some internal policies to ensure we deliver our professional skill development objectives ethically and transparently. These include:

  • Recruitment policy: We operate a robust recruitment policy, including conducting a robust set of discussions with all employees, reiterating the fact that we currently all work as volunteers. The employer bears the full cost of the talent accelerator program and is focused on developing well-skilled volunteers for transition into their chosen careers globally. The volunteers also have the option to withdraw from the program as they so desire without compulsion. This safeguards against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.
  • Whistleblowing policy: We operate a whistleblowing policy and confidential reporting line so that all employees and volunteers can raise concerns about how colleagues are being treated or practices without fear of reprisals.
  • Code of Conduct: We set high standards on how we behave as an organization and how we expect our people to act.

Supply Chain and Partnerships

Although our operations rely primarily on volunteer efforts, we remain vigilant in working only with partners and suppliers who share our values. To this end:

  • We conduct due diligence to ensure that all collaborations align with ethical labor practices.
  • We require compliance with international labor laws and ethical standards in all agreements.
  • We monitor our partners and supply chain to identify and mitigate risks related to modern slavery.

Taking Action

Our commitment to combating modern slavery is supported by actionable steps, including:

  1. Awareness and Education: Providing training and resources to our volunteers, partners, and stakeholders on recognizing and addressing exploitation risks.
  2. Risk Management: Regularly reviewing and improving our processes to minimize vulnerabilities.
  3. Collaboration: Partnering with organizations and experts to strengthen our efforts against modern slavery.
  4. Monitor Progress: Define and implement reporting and monitoring mechanisms reflecting our progression in slavery and human trafficking remediation and prevention activities

Accountability and Transparency

Cadware remains accountable to its stakeholders. We regularly review our ethical practices and will share updates on our efforts to maintain a safe and transparent operating environment.

Empowering Talent Ethically

At Cadware, we believe that ethical leadership and respect for human rights are integral to accelerating talent. We remain dedicated to creating opportunities where individuals can thrive free from exploitation, empowered by a shared vision of dignity, fairness, and justice.

Cadware’s leadership team has approved this statement and is effective for the financial year ending 2025.
